Job summary

Irvington Public Schools is seeking a Technology Coach to support district-wide instructional technology initiatives. The role focuses on training teachers, managing data systems, and ensuring smooth operation of district software and hardware.

The ideal candidate will have NJ Teacher Certification, 3 years of classroom experience, and a preference for a Master's in Educational Technology. The position is full-time and located district-wide in Irvington, NJ.

Qualifications

• NJ Teacher Certification is required or equivalent credential.
• Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience.
• Master's in Educational Technology preferred to support innovative learning.

Responsibilities

• Set up new teachers and access; ensure accounts and tools are ready.
• Deliver professional training on G Suite, distance learning, PowerSchool, Oncourse, and interactive whiteboards.
• Maintain knowledge of current curriculum software and network security practices.
• Perform password resets and monitor program integration across multiple systems.
• Support Chromebook hardware and classroom technology throughout the year.

Responsibilities:
New teacher setup
Training- GSuite for Education, Distance learning protocols, Powerschool, Oncourse, Interactive whiteboarding Software, All curriculum programs, network security training

Software- Clever, Powerschool, Collage, Pearson bridge, GSuite for Education, password resets, phishing, hacking, integration between programs, all curriculum programs, network security checks, all updates.

Hardware -Repairing Chromebooks (keyboards, trackpads, and LCDs), managing Chromebook org, teacher desktops, Wifi connectivity, repairing Interactive boards
Beginning of the year, Mid-year, End of year Protocols

Testing- state-mandated testing and State Reporting
Keep current with the latest and greatest software and technologies
Keep daily logs of Training and Support Activities

Program Duration: 2026-2027

Hours: 8:00am – 3:00pm

Salary: As per collective bargaining agreement (Pending Availability of Funds)
