JOB DESCRIPTION

This role offers the opportunity to join a team focused on transforming how our technology function operates, with a focus on systematic upskilling and reskilling of our people. We are investing in building a pipeline of entry-level talent that can partner with colleagues across functions to address complex priorities. The role is dedicated to fostering continuous learning within a self-organized agile team, emphasizing skill development. As the Technology Apprenticeship Program Lead, you will align apprentices based on their skills, collaborate with leadership to analyze capacity and demand, onboard new apprentices, and provide training for effective collaboration with Chubb Engineering Centers.

By leveraging your leadership and communication skills, you will build strong relationships with internal clients, enhancing satisfaction and retention. Your focus will be on nurturing adult learners to drive organizational success and promote a collaborative culture.

This role is ideally based in our Philadelphia, PA office.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Apprentice Coordination: Oversee the assignment of apprentices to projects, ensuring alignment with their skills and supporting their professional growth.
  • Consulting Leadership: Develop processes, tools, and best practices to manage and deploy technology apprentices effectively.
  • Client/Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the main contact for internal clients and HR, understanding project needs and matching them with apprentice skills.
  • Project Oversight: Monitor project progress, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Performance Measurement: Implement metrics to evaluate project and apprentice performance, maintaining high standards.
  • Apprentice Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to help apprentices grow into full-time roles.
  • People Management: Foster a supportive environment focusing on the transition of apprentices to full-time associates.
  • Strategic Planning: Create and execute plans aligning with organizational goals and the Technology Learning division.
  • Continuous Improvement & Feedback Loops: Identify and implement process enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Keep internal clients, apprentices, and leadership informed and engaged.
  • Technical Skills Development: Promote essential technology skills among aspiring professionals.
