Pay Range

Base pay range: $96,336.00/yr - $121,413.00/yr

Description

The New York State Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) provides operational support 24/7, supporting over 4,900 applications for 53 agencies. Under the direction of the Information Technology Architect 2, the Technology Analyst 2 (Product Management) will design, oversee implementation and enhancement of secure, efficient IT products/services to meet client needs. The role involves collaborating with business managers and IT professionals, analyzing business processes, and possibly supervising a team of Technology Analyst 1s.

Responsibilities

1. Understand organizational business needs and processes.
2. Identify opportunities to improve ITS products/services.
3. Analyze data to understand customer behavior and expectations.
4. Collaborate with technical teams to customize IT products.
5. Train users on IT products and services.
6. Maintain documentation on processes, policies, and configurations.
7. Perform audits and quality assurance on ITS products/services.
8. Assist in resolving IT issues and coordinate with vendors.
9. Monitor and adjust product/service strategies as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Six (6) years of broad IT or business administration experience, with a comprehensive understanding of various IT disciplines within large organizations.

Education/Experience Substitutions

• Associate’s degree substitutes for 2 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree substitutes for 4 years.
• Master’s degree adds 1 year.
• Doctoral degree adds 2 years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMP, etc.)
• Experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, BI tools)
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, and customer service skills
• Technical writing and collaboration skills
• Understanding of business processes and strategies

Additional Notes

• Residency within NY State required within six months.
• Background check required.
• Position based in Albany or New York City.
• Salary commensurate with experience.
