Job summary

Compass Group is seeking a Technology Advocate to repair, maintain, upgrade and install AV equipment for clients. You will coordinate conference guests and services for multipurpose conference rooms, troubleshoot equipment, and assist clients with conducting meetings in conference spaces.

You will oversee the meeting experience from setup to breakdown, manage ITSM requests, and ensure systems stay current with firmware updates.

Responsibilities

• Allocate conference functions to appropriately sized rooms to optimize space.
• Provide seamless event management with high-touch customer service.
• Support ITSM requests via email and phone and escalate as needed.

Overview

Waveguide delivers AV, IT and acoustics design and operations support with a focus on how people, processes and places fit together in the built environment. We seek a Technology Advocate to repair, maintain, upgrade and install AV equipment for clients, coordinate conference guests and services for multipurpose conference rooms, troubleshoot equipment, and assist clients with conducting meetings in conference spaces.

Job Summary

As a Technology Advocate, you will repair, maintain, upgrade and install AV equipment for clients. You will coordinate conference guests and business services for multipurpose conference rooms, troubleshoot equipment, and assist clients with conducting meetings in conference spaces.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage events for multipurpose rooms, general floor conference rooms and other meeting spaces.
• Oversee the holistic meeting experience: setup and breakdown of furniture, room cleanliness, and related tasks.
• Oversee and maintain all audio-visual equipment in managed spaces.
• Place conference functions in appropriately sized rooms to maximize space utilization.
• Provide seamless event management with high-touch customer service.
• Ensure AV systems have the latest firmware and software installed and updated as necessary.
• Assist Tier 2 with hardware swaps as needed (CHD/projectors).
• Manage ITSM and daily email and phone requests.
• Handle issues through proper administrative channels.
• Follow protocol during emergency situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of network connectivity, digital signal flow, network compliance support, and firmware/software updates.
• Knowledge of modern audio-visual concepts and equipment, with excellent troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with laptops, projectors, microphones, and remote participation technology for audio and video conferencing.
• Crestron DMC-E certification and network certification is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of calculations and proficient computer skills, including various computer programs, Microsoft Office, email and Internet.
