Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our Wellington, FL facility in a full-time role. The position offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus and an hourly rate of $43 for qualified technologists.

You will perform mammogram exams, collect patient history, and support other imaging modalities, while upholding FDA/ACR QC standards. Candidates should have a state-approved Mammography program, ARRT(M) certification or eligibility within 1 year, CPR/BLS, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a state approved Mammography program.
• ARRT(M) certification or eligible within 1 year of hire.
• CPR and BLS certification required.
• Strong customer service and multi-tasking abilities.
• Proficient in basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammogram exams on patients.
• Obtain patient history and prior films/reports as needed.
• Perform QC tasks per FDA/ACR guidelines.
• Provide imaging support to other modalities (x-ray, bone density).
• Manage mammogram letters and reminders.

We are currentlyhiringforaMammography Technologistat ourWellington, FLfacility. This will be a Full Time position.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Performs mammogram exams on patients.
• Obtains patient history, prior films/reports, and any other supportive role information that is needed (RIS/PACS, burn discs).
• Performs Quality Control (QC) needed for FDA/ACR.
• Provides imaging support to other modalities in center (x-ray/ bone density, etc).
• Works with mammogram letters (results/reminders).

Position Requirements:

• HighSchool Diploma or equivalent experience required;Associate's Degree preferred.
• Certificate from College or Technical School
• Mammography Program (State approved)
• CPR certification
• As applicable, valid state driver's license.
• Must have met initial requirements under MQSAstandards.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• ARRT(M) and State License, if applicable. Note: Completion of an accredited Mammography program acceptable in lieu of ARRT(M). Must obtain certification/registry within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC).
