Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Mammography Technologist for our Silverlake facility on a part-time basis. The role involves performing mammogram exams, collecting patient history and prior imaging, and supporting other modalities within the center.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, state-approved mammography program, CPR, and ARRT(M)/state license as applicable. MQSA compliance is expected, with a strong focus on patient care and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• Certificate from College or Technical School required.
• Mammography Program (State approved) and ARRT(M) certification where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs mammogram exams on patients.
• Obtains patient history, prior films/reports and other information as needed.
• Performs QC required for FDA/ACR.
• Provides imaging support to other modalities in center.

We are currently hiring for a Mammography Technologist at our Silverlake facility. This will be a Part Time position.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Performs mammogram exams on patients.
• Obtains patient history, prior films/reports, and any other supportive role information that is needed (RIS/PACS, burn discs).
• Performs Quality Control (QC) needed for FDA/ACR.
• Provides imaging support to other modalities in center (x-ray/ bone density, etc).
• Works with mammogram letters (results/reminders).

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Certificate from College or Technical School
• Mammography Program (State approved)
• CPR certification
• As applicable, valid state driver’s license.
• Must have met initial requirements under MQSA standards.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• ARRT(M) and State License, if applicable.

Note: Completion of an accredited Mammography program acceptable in lieu of ARRT(M). Must obtain certification/registry within 1 year of hire.

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC).
