Training Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Primary Purpose: Technologist Trainee is a training position, preparing the employee to work independently as a limited license scientist (Technologist) and to gain ASCP certification within five years. Works under supervision, providing technical and non-technical laboratory services.

Essential Functions: Performs waived and automated analytic processes, oversees calibration, operates laboratory instruments, maintains records, processes specimens, follows procedures, documents quality control, trains staff, and assists in validation and SOP review.
Physical Requirements: Includes stooping, reaching, mobility, communication, PPE use, and other physical and visual requirements typical for laboratory work.
Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological sciences, with specific course credits in biology, chemistry, and math. Certain courses like Quantitative Analysis, Microbiology, Hematology, and Immunology may be required.
Qualifications: Required - Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field; one year of work under supervision post-hire. Preferred - 1+ years of clinical lab experience.
