Labcorp in Gresham, OR is seeking a Technologist Trainee for casual/per diem shifts with full training provided for new grads. You will determine specimen acceptability, perform routine and complex procedures, and monitor instrumentation to ensure accurate results.

The role emphasizes the ability to work both independently and in a team, with comprehensive benefits and overtime flexibility as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Work Schedule: Casual/Per Diem. New Grads Welcome – Full Training Provided.

Job Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or prior Labcorp experience
• 3 months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience

Additional Job Standards

• Proficient with computers
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
