Job summary

The Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) guides performance under its standards. This role assists the surgical team by arranging sterile setup, inventorying supplies, and passing items as needed during operations.

Responsibilities include preparing the surgical suite, moving patients, and cleaning. It also involves exposure, homeostasis, and other technical tasks to help the surgeon achieve safe, optimal patient outcomes, following AST standards and procedures.

Job Summary

Functions under the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) guidelines for performance. Handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Assists surgical team during operation/procedure by arranging, inventorying and maintaining sterile set up for operation, and passes items as needed. Assists in preparation of surgical suite, moving patients, and in cleaning. Provides aid in exposure, homeostasis, and other technical functions that will help the surgeon carry out safe operation with optimal results for the patient within AST standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
