Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist the surgical team by arranging, inventorying, and maintaining a sterile setup for operations and passing items as needed.

The role includes assisting in the preparation of the surgical suite, moving patients, and cleaning, with focus on exposure, homeostasis, and other technical tasks to support safe surgeries and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of surgical technology with proof of graduation or at least 18 months experience as a surgical technologist in a hospital or surgery center.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format.
• Ability to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.

Job Summary

Provides aid in exposure, homeostasis, and other technical functions that will help the surgeon carry out safe operation with optimal results for the patient. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.

Training

15 Hours of continuing education annually as required to maintain certification based on state laws.

Special Skills

Computer literacy.

Licensure

BLS certification within 14 days of hire date.
