**Details**

+ **Department:** Sleep Diagnostic Lab

+ **Schedule:** 4 - 10 hour shifts. No holidays. Self-schedule.

+ **Hospital:** Ascension St. Vincent Carmel

+ **Location:** 10580 North Meridian Street, Carmel, IN

**Responsibilities**

Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.

+ Prepare patient and equipment for testing. Interview patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.

+ Perform and document testing. Monitor patients throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.

+ Collect, analyze, and interpret patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; score, interpret, and report results of sleep studies.

+ Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain testing equipment.

+ Determine and report needed repairs or replacements.

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

+ One or more of the following required:

+ Credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) within 24 months of hire or transfer.

+ Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 24 months of hire or transfer.

+ Registered Polysomnographic Technologist credential from BRPT within 24 months of hire or transfer.

+ Sleep Technician credential from the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) within 24 months of hire or transfer.

Education:

+ High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of relevant experience.

**Additional Preferences**

RPSGT certification preferred. Candidates with 2 years of experience are preferred.
