Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform EEGs and related neurodiagnostic studies under supervision. You will document results, explain procedures to patients, and assist with equipment maintenance to ensure accurate, high-quality data.

The role includes various shift options and opportunities for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for moves of 50 miles or more.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects equipment and follows infection control policies.
• Completes EEGs/LTMs.
• Documents data in patient chart and lab files.
• Explains tests and procedures to patients for optimal results.
• Performs accurate documentation.
• Performs all types of EEGs (bedside, electrical cerebral silence, standard lab).
• Prepares patients and provides age-appropriate explanations and instructions.
• Troubleshoots equipment and arranges repairs as needed.
• Potential to perform all neurodiagnostic tests within trained competence.
• Potential to notify Neuroscience physician for grossly abnormal EEG tracings.

Overview

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist is responsible for applying EEGs, conducting studies, and performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting in line with facility policies and procedures. They carry out tasks appropriate to their level of competence and training under general technical supervision, which may include providing findings, results, and a descriptive analysis.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $26.23per hour - $43.8per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
