Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Naperville/Lisle is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with Mammography certification to perform breast imaging studies and support patient care throughout exams.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT Mammography certification, Illinois licensure, CPR, and excellent interpersonal communication skills. The position offers comprehensive health benefits, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) match, and generous time off.

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with advanced certification in Mammography is required.
• Active ARRT certification status maintained by fulfilling continuing education requirements.
• Illinois State Licensure (IEMA).
• CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures in a technically proficient manner.
• Follow department protocols and radiologist direction.
• Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedure and document it per department standards.
• Prepare patient for procedures and provide instructions to obtain desired results and minimize anxiety.
• Select and operate breast imaging equipment to achieve desired results.
• Position patient and equipment to best demonstrate the area of interest.
• Explain the need for breast compression while respecting patient comfort.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.

Job description

Position Details:

Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

Hours: Mostly 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm. 10:30am-7:00pm once a week and weekend rotation of either a Saturday or Sunday from 7:30am-3:00pm. Holidays and Travel as needed.

Location: Naperville, Lisle.

Patient Care & Imaging

• Perform mammography procedures in a technically proficient manner.
• Follow department protocols and specific radiologist direction.
• Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedure; assuring information is documented in accordance with the department's standards.
• Prepare patient for procedures; providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
• Select and operate breast imaging equipment and associated devices to achieve desired results.
• Position patient and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest.
• Explain the need for breast compression while respecting the patient's ability and comfort.
• Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.
• Experience with stereotactic biopsies and/or willing to be trained to assist with this procedure.

Department Support

• Participates in staff meetings with employee involvement.
• Maintains positive work relationships with co-workers, physicians, and other health care team members.
• Maintains an orderly and clean work area to promote good safety habits for patients and co-workers.
• Maintains confidentiality with others regarding patient and organizational information.
• Maintenance of supplies needed to ensure adequate levels within the department.

Experience and Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with advanced certification in Mammography is required.
• Active ARRT certification status maintained by fulfilling continuing education requirements.
• Illinois State Licensure (IEMA).
• CPR Certification.
• Mammography experience preferred but not required.
• Stereotactic biopsy experience a plus.
• Interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to present required.
• Knowledge of computer-based applications, email and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge and skills of a mammography technologist and can perform the daily tasks and duties of a technologist, including patient care and completion of clinical exams.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $35.00 - $52.00 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
