Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Schaumburg, IL, seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in breast imaging. You will perform mammography procedures, ensure patient comfort, and follow radiologist directives to support accurate assessments for cancer screening and diagnosis.

Under the Breast Radiologist, you will position patients, operate imaging equipment, apply radiation safety, and participate in biopsies as trained.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
  • ARRT Mammography certification required or advanced.
  • Illinois State Licensure (IEMA) required.
  • CPR certification.
  • Mammography experience preferred; stereotactic biopsy experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography procedures in a technically proficient manner.
  • Follow department protocols and radiologist directions.
  • Prepare patients and document clinical history.
  • Position patients and equipment to optimize imaging.
  • Explain breast compression while ensuring patient comfort.
  • Apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and supplies.
  • Support staff and maintain patient confidentiality.

Sign on Bonus of $15,000Location: SchaumburgHours: Mostly 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm. 10:30am-7:00pm once a week and weekend rotation of either a Saturday or Sunday from 7:30am-3:00pm. Be responsible for the variety of breast imaging examinations for the purpose of assisting in a patient’s medical diagnosis or screening for cancerPatient Care & ImagingPerform mammography procedures in a technically proficient manner. Follow department protocols and specific radiologist direction.Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedure; assuring information is documented in accordance with the department's standards.Prepare patient for procedures; providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.Select and operate breast imaging equipment and associated devices to achieve desired results.Position patient and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest. Explain the need for breast compression while respecting the patient's ability and comfort.Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.Experience with stereotactic biopsies and/or willing to be trained to assist with this procedureDepartment SupportParticipates in staff meetings with employee involvementMaintains positive work relationships with co-workers, physicians, and other health care team membersMaintains an orderly and clean work area to promote good safety habits for patients and co-workersMaintains confidentiality with others regarding patient and organizational informationMaintenance of supplies needed to ensure adequate levels within the department.Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology ProgramMammography experience preferred but not requiredStereotactic biopsy experience a plusRegistered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with advanced certification in Mammography is required.Active ARRT certification status maintained by fulfilling continuing education requirements.Illinois State Licensure (IEMA)CPR CertificationInterpersonal and communication skills and the ability to present required.Knowledge of computer-based applications, email and standard applications such as Microsoft OfficeWorking knowledge and skills of a mammography technologist and can perform the daily tasks and duties of a technologist, including patient care and completion of clinical examsThe compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $32.65-$52.00, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
