Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT imaging to perform imaging procedures in accordance with radiology practice standards. You will help in diagnosis and treatment planning while following hospital protocols and ensuring patient safety.

Minimum requirements include ARRT Radiography certification, BLS within 30 days of hire, and CT certification preferred. At least 6 months CT experience and basic computer literacy are expected to support quality

Qualifications

• Basic computer literacy is required.
• Registered by ARRT in Radiography (R) is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• CT ARRT certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates imaging equipment and performs radiology procedures according to standards.
• Develops and implements procedure/treatment plans.
• Maintains equipment, rooms, and workflow to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Completes required documentation and adheres to hospital policies.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to uphold care standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Job Summary

Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Experience

Minimum Required

• 6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all CT competencies at the end of orientation period.

Education

Minimum Required

• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with Registry in Radiography ARRT (R) required. Registry in CT ARRT (CT) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.
