Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking an Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging procedures consistent with radiology practice standards. The role supports diagnosis and treatment by selecting optimal techniques and maintaining documentation per hospital policy.

Strong candidates will hold ARRT in Radiography, with CT registry preferred, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Responsibilities include equipment care, safety, and participation in improvement activities.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography (R) is required.
• CT registration with ARRT is preferred.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates radiologic principles and uses appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures.
• Develops and implements procedure/treatment plans following hospital protocols.
• Completes required documentation to comply with hospital policies.
• Maintains equipment, rooms, and work areas in a neat, safe condition.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to ensure care meets standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

• 6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all CT competencies at the end of orientation period.

• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with Registry in Radiography ARRT (R) required. Registry in CT ARRT (CT) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.
