Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Glen Ellyn seeks a Part-Time CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT exams under radiologist supervision. You will manage IV starts, patient histories, and contrast administration while upholding radiation safety and image quality.

The role involves a mix of days and evenings, with rotating weekend coverage as needed. Minimum CT experience preferred; ARRT-CT certification and current IEMA CT license are required along with BLS.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited education program in radiology technology.
  • ARRT RT(CT) certification is required or in process.
  • Current IEMA license for CT imaging required.
  • BLS certification (AED) required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of CT procedures from start to finish under radiologist guidance.
  • Administer IV contrast, obtain patient histories and prepare rooms.
  • Maintain ALARA radiation safety and quality checks on equipment.
  • Document studies, perform protocoling, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Coordinate with radiologists, site managers and staff on exam flow.

CT Tech - Part Time – Glen Ellyn – RadiologyPosition Highlights:Part-Time, 20 HoursHours: Monday-Friday Varied; Mix of days and evenings and rotating every 3rd weekend. Holidays as needed.Location: Glen EllynTravel: Bloomingdale, Schaumburg, Lisle as needed.Benefits:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits that include healthcare navigation assistance.Access to a mental health benefit at no cost.$2,625 Tuition Reimbursement per year.Immediate 401(k) match.16 hours paid volunteer time off.A culture committed to community engagement and social impact.Responsibilities:Performs a variety of complex diagnostic CT procedures, with primary responsibility of completing diagnostic studies from inception to completion under the direction of the radiologist. This would include, but not limited to: performing routine CTs and CTAs, taking accurate verbal patient histories and starting I.V.s, to administer IV contrast. Maintain a positive imaging environment for our patients and act as a patient liaison to the radiologist.Computer applications/scanning and quality control on scanner.Daily paperwork & protocoling.Detailed patient histories.Radiation Safetyability to keep radiation exposure to ALARA levels.Proficient IV starts/injectionsProvide radiologist with quality networked imagesInteract as a professional with radiologist, site managers, clerical staff, and patientsPerforms ordered examinations of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site reading radiologist.Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during the exam.Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in Duly Health and Care sponsored training programs.Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administers IV and oral contrast according to site-specific protocols.Reviews/explains the procedure to the patient.Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members.Maintains a clean environment.Completes necessary protocolling tasksFollows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.Complies with Duly Health and Care CT Imaging policies/procedures.Complies with all safety policies and regulations including radiation safety.Maintains current IEMA license for CT and, 24 hours of CE every 2 yearsPerforms additional duties as required.Has knowledge of radiation safety and protection, all aspects of performing examinations, operation of equipment, handling of medical waste, patient safety, and applicable rules and regulations.Qualifications:EDUCATION:Graduate of an accredited education program in radiology technology required. LICENSURE:ARRT Registered Technologist, RT(CTCurrent IEMA licenseBLS - Basic Life Support, AED Adult & Pediatric CPR required.EXPERIENCE:Minimum one year CT related experience or training preferred.The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $34.00-$51.00, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
