Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy, part of the Primoris Services Corporation Energy segment, seeks a Wind Turbine Technician to install, maintain and repair wind turbines with a strong emphasis on safety and working at heights.

You will inspect gearboxes, generators, hydraulic and control systems, perform preventative maintenance and diagnose issues, while documenting all activities and adhering to site procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or certification in wind energy technology, electrical technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of wind turbine technician or related industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read schematics and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting on wind turbine components including gearboxes, generators, hydraulic systems and control systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance per manufacturer specs and company procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and hydraulic issues in a timely manner.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout and fall protection, and operate tools safely.
• Assist with commissioning and decommissioning of wind turbine units.
• Communicate status and issues with team members and site management.
