Job summary

Mobius Renewables is seeking a dependable Wellfield Technician to support landfill gas operations at two sites. The role focuses on monthly compliance monitoring and logging well data with a handheld device.

You will perform pump checks, maintenance, and tuning to ensure safe, efficient gas collection and regulatory compliance. The job requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills required.
• Experience with landfill gas systems, pumps, environmental field work, construction, maintenance, or similar outdoor industrial work is preferred.
• Ability to work independently while also communicating effectively with supervisors and other team members.
• Basic recordkeeping skills and the ability to complete field documentation accurately.
• Ability to follow all landfill rules, site regulations, environmental requirements, and company safety procedures.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to report site conditions, equipment issues, and follow-up needs clearly and professionally.
• Commitment to safe work practices and use of required personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly compliance monitoring on all landfill gas extraction wells at two sites using a handheld monitoring device to log and track well data.
• Complete weekly pump cycle counts and document results accurately.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pneumatic pumps and related wellfield equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on extraction wells, wellheads, piping, valves, and associated components.
• Conduct wellfield tuning using handheld monitoring data to support effective gas collection, system balance, and compliance needs.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues in the wellfield, including pump problems, low flow, vacuum concerns, liquid buildup, and damaged components.
• Maintain accurate field records, monitoring logs, maintenance notes, and repair documentation.
• Communicate site conditions, equipment issues, and follow-up needs to supervisors and team members.
• Follow all company safety procedures, landfill site rules, and required environmental compliance practices.

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Wellfield Technician to support landfill gas

wellfield operations at two sites. This position is responsible for monthly compliance monitoring

of extraction wells using a handheld monitoring device to log and track well data, routine pump

checks, wellfield tuning, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities that help keep the gas

collection system operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site requirements.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and muddy or dusty conditions.
• Ability to walk on uneven landfill terrain for extended periods as needed.
• Ability to drive or ride in a side-by-side/UTV while working across the wellfield.
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, and use hand tools during pump repair, maintenance, and inspection work.
• Comfort working around landfill operations, industrial equipment, and environmental monitoring activities.
