This position reports directly to the Chemical Maintenance Supervisor.

What you will do:

1. Work safely to prevent injuries, following Nutrien, OSHA, MSHA, and other regulations.
2. Use Personal Protection Equipment such as hard hats, safety boots, glasses, gloves, ear plugs, face shields, fire-resistant clothing, and others as required.
3. Follow safety procedures including Lock Out Tag Out, Hot Work, Confined Space, Critical Lift.
4. Post screens and barricades to protect others before starting work.
5. Use proper hand tools, power tools, cutting, and welding equipment to complete tasks.
6. Work in teams to complete assignments efficiently.
7. Conduct repairs on components and equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
8. Participate in safety meetings and serve on safety committees.
9. Perform welding and fabrication using various welding processes and positions.
10. Operate shop equipment for preparing components.
11. Inspect welds and ensure they meet specifications.
12. Assist in rigging and mechanical repairs as needed.
13. Maintain shop and field equipment following SOPs.
14. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and job packages.
15. Complete reports and documentation for jobs performed.
16. Assist other trades and support tasks as required.
17. Adhere to certification and training requirements for ongoing professional development.
18. Work safely at heights and in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks as needed.

What you will bring:

1. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
2. Attention to detail and strong work ethic.
3. Cooperative attitude and leadership skills.
4. Ability to follow procedures and instructions.
5. Must pass the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) test with minimum scores of 4 in Graphic Literacy, 5 in Applied Mathematics, and 5 in Workplace Documents. The NCRC must be uploaded with your application.

Compensation & Benefits:

Starting at $31.48 - $41.88/hour plus overtime. Nutrien offers a skills-based pay system that rewards training and skill acquisition.
