Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Technician - Test - Level 3 (Swing shift Mon- Fri) in California to perform microwave subsystem testing, RF tuning, and data review in a production environment. You will follow documented procedures, maintain records, and collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure quality and compliance.

Required are an electronics-related associate degree or equivalent experience, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to obtain security clearance. A U.S.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electronics, trade school or technical education with 3+ years experience or 5+ years in lieu.
  • Familiarity with microwave test equipment including network/spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, power meters and DVMs.
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to work with a microscope and small hand-tools.
  • Good written and verbal skills and ability to follow written instructions.
  • Computer skills including file manipulation, organizing files and basic Excel.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • US export control eligibility (US Person) required.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a production environment to perform testing and troubleshooting of microwave subsystems and circuit card assemblies and carefully review data for compliance.
  • Work in a production environment to perform RF tuning, troubleshooting and testing on multi-function thin film microwave integrated circuits (MICs) and carefully review data for compliance.
  • Carefully follow production documentation and processes, including keeping detailed records of testing and rework performed.
  • Actively participate in daily production meetings and regularly interface with manufacturing engineers.

The hourly pay range for this position is $34.25 - $42.84. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

Minimum
  • Associates Degree in Electronics, trade school or technical education and 3 plus years experience OR, 5 plus years work experience in lieu of an Associate Degree or trade school or technical education.
  • Familiarity with microwave test equipment including network/spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, power meters and DVMs.
  • Good manual dexterity and experience/willingness to work using a microscope and small hand-tools.
  • Good written and verbal skills and ability to carefully follow written instructions.
  • Computer skills are required for this position including file manipulation, file organization, accessing and launching various programs, and basic Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
Preferred
  • Associates Degree in Electronics, trade school or technical education and 5 plus years experience OR, 8 plus years work experience in lieu of an Associate Degree or trade school or technical education.
  • Familiarity with microwave test equipment including: network/spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, power meters and DVMs.

For California, the annual base salary range is $59,000-$73,800. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
