Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in San Jose, CA is seeking an RF Technician (Test) Level 3 for day shift to support microwave subsystem testing and alignment. You will perform RF circuit alignment, circuit card testing, and collect data to meet shipping schedules while coordinating with manufacturing engineers.

Requirements include 3+ years in RF equipment testing, familiarity with spectrum analyzers, power meters and oscilloscopes, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Job description

Technician - Test - Level 3 - Day shift - Mon- Fri (Finance)

We are seeking a RF Technician to work at our San Jose, CA facility. The RF Technician's responsibilities are focused in the area of microwave circuit alignment and test and subsystems test to meet shipping schedules. The RF Technician will support production activities within a group concentrating on advanced microwave subsystems for applications including missile front ends, radar receivers, wideband tuners and synthesized sources. Duties include RF circuit alignment, circuit card testing and troubleshooting, subsystem product alignment and testing, collecting and documenting test data and providing feedback to manufacturing engineers on production products.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a production environment to perform testing and troubleshooting of microwave subsystems and circuit card assemblies and carefully review data for compliance.
  • Work in a production environment to perform RF tuning, troubleshooting and testing on multi-function thin film microwave integrated circuits (MICs) and carefully review data for compliance.
  • Carefully follow production documentation and processes, including keeping detailed records of testing and rework performed.
  • Actively participate in daily production meetings and regularly interface with manufacturing engineers.

The hourly pay range for this position is $34.61 - $43.26. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Must Have
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience troubleshooting, testing and tuning RF equipment.
  • Familiarity with microwave test equipment including network/spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, power meters and DVMs.
  • Ability to use small hand tools such as tweezers and torque drivers and experience working under a microscope.
  • Good written and verbal skills and ability to carefully follow written instructions.
  • Computer skills are required for this position including file manipulation, file organization, accessing and launching various programs, and basic Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

  • Associates Degree in Electronics, trade school or technical education and 5 plus years experience OR, 8 plus years work experience in lieu of an Associate Degree or trade school or technical education.
  • Ability to solder small surface mount and through hole parts. IPC 610 certification a plus.
