Job summary

TechDigital Group is seeking a skilled Metallization Technician to join our Massachusetts-based lab. The role focuses on routine testing, evaluation of new metallization products, and optimization of plating processes for both conductive and non-conductive substrates.

You will work with SEM/EDS, HPLC, GC, AES, and electrochemical methods, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards while supporting cross-functional teams across R&D and manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Science or Engineering.
  • Experience with analytical techniques such as SEM/EDS, HPLC, GC, AES, wet chemical methods, and surface analysis; electrochemistry experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to best practices within Metallization.
  • Strong team player and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with team members and management.
  • Experience with metallization processes for conductive and non-conductive substrates.
  • Experience in semiconductor, circuit board manufacturing or industrial settings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine tests according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Evaluate new metallization products and processes and related technologies.
  • Optimize and improve processes within Electroplating and MHC areas.
  • Process and evaluate plated samples using cross-sectioning, X-ray analysis and surface characterization.
  • Analyze bath compositions using titration and electrochemical methods.
  • Support Field Service Team with installations, troubleshooting and technical activities.
  • Operate and maintain electroplating equipment for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, Applications, Customer Service, and Supply/Demand planning to deliver high-quality service.
  • Adhere to environmental, health, and safety best practices.

Job description

  • Experience with a wide range of analytical techniques such as SEM/EDS, HPLC, GC, AES, wet chemical techniques, and surface analysis methods. Experience in applied electrochemistry is preferred
  • Attention to detail and procedure as defined by best practices within the Metallization team
  • Strong team player and must be able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Effectively communicates verbally and in writing to team members and management on all aspects of program activity
  • Previous experience and knowledge of metallization processes used for conductive and non-conductive substrates
  • Previous semiconductor, circuit board manufacturing or industrial experience

  • Analyzing and monitoring bath compositions using analytical methods such as titration and electrochemical measurements
  • Support the Field Service Team with new product installations, troubleshooting and related technical activities
  • Operate and maintain electroplating equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate effectively with other functional groups (such as Marketing, R&D, Applications Technical Support, Customer Service, Supply/Demand Planning, etc...) to deliver a high-quality customer service to
