Job summary

A leading company in aircraft manufacturing is looking for a qualified Technician, Structures for their Hartford Service Center. This role involves maintaining aircraft by performing inspections and repairs, adhering to safety standards. Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience and possess relevant certifications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of corporate aircraft structural repair/modification experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
  • Capability to work unscheduled overtime and in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
  • Assist in conducting hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures.
  • Comply with environmental health and safety policies/procedures.

    • Assist with towing aircraft as needed
    • Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed
    • Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements for factory, shop and/or hanger positions
    How to thrive in this role?

    You have received training from a sheet metal aircraft technical school or have equivalent schooling

    You typically have at least 4 years of Corporate aircraft structural sheet metal repair / modification experience

    You have the ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings

    You have the ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status

    You own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate Inventory and control of tools

    You have the ability to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as required

    You are able to work unscheduled overtime including nonscheduled work days and holidays

    You are able to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside

    You have the ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) if applicable

    You have an A Certification, A&P Certificate or Repairman Certificate (preferred) You have basic PC skills
