Position Summary
We are looking for highly motivated, self-managed individuals to join our growing team. Our technicians must possess knowledge of controls, electrical systems, basic IO devices, voltage measurement devices, and general hand tools. They should be familiar with preventative maintenance processes and on‑the‑fly repairs. The role encompasses an equal portion of mechanical and electrical work, requiring proficiency with electrical schematics and basic mechanical repairs. Strong time‑management skills and a professional, courteous demeanor are essential for daily customer interactions. Safety is the company’s core value and the top priority for all operations.
Essential Functions
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with smart security lane conveyor systems
- Photo eye and RFID readers
- Conveyor motor maintenance/replacement
- I/O and PLC modules
- Intermediate communication modules
- Jam conditions
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
- Clean, lubricate, and test equipment
- Perform systems checks
- Verify all functionality from an operational standpoint
- Respond to downtime incidents and provide essential repairs in a timely manner
- Use schematics in conjunction with physical equipment for diagnostics
- Schedule equipment downtime with third parties for planned maintenance
- Assist and coordinate with Technical Operations Team and equipment manufacturers to resolve elevated issues
- Properly document and use reporting software to open, close, and manage work orders
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all departments across the organization
- Provide feedback to enhance individual performance
- Complete all work safely, adhering to OSHA, state and local regulations
- Complete required safety training as assigned by the company
- Comply with all ELS safety programs, policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties or assignments as required by management
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience with BHS, heavy equipment or industrial machine maintenance and repair
- 1+ year of schematic/diagram reading and equipment diagnostics
- 1+ year of preventative/predictive maintenance procedures
- Flexibility with work hours and days (24/7 operation including holidays)
- Availability for on‑call duty, including holidays and weekends
- Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications
- Wireman, Journeyman or Master Electrician license (or relevant license in an equivalent discipline)
- Demonstrated ability to multi‑task and prioritize differing workloads
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with peers, management, vendors and customers
- OSHA 10 certification

Physical Demands
- Stand, walk, sit, and perform frequent handling, reaching, climbing, crawling, squatting, bending, lifting, and pushing/pulling with varying weight ranges up to 100 lbs. Activities occur from frequently (33‑66% of time) to occasionally (0‑33% of time) depending on the task.
- Vision: near, distance
- Lift and move totes up to 49 lbs each
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
- Occasional push and pull of wheeled dollies up to 100 lbs during site visits
- Full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
- Frequent walking in the facility (~5 miles daily)
- Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely
- Work in noisy, unlit, unheated, or unair‑conditioned environments
Work Environment
Warehouse with moving equipment and machinery.
