Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks a senior technical professional to support engineering project delivery in a variety of infrastructure initiatives. You will apply advanced methods to provide solutions, make recommendations, and resolve complex issues with internal teams and external clients.

You’ll contribute as a technical advisor, prepare presentations and analyses, and engage with clients at the staff level to ensure high-quality outcomes across multi-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field with 10 years of relevant experience, or AS in Drafting/Technical School with 12 years, or 14 years in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes as technical resource in project meetings and design for area of specialty.
  • Aids in researching best practices and maintains contact with other specialists.
  • Acts as an internal/external point-of-contact for specialty area(s).
  • Develops and advises others in related subject matter.
  • Prepares technical presentations, reports, and analyses in area of specialty.
  • Interacts regularly with clients at staff level.
  • May perform technical reviews for other projects in area of specialty.
  • May lead the work of a project team in area of specialty and coordinate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Ensures industry and HNTB standards of technical delivery are applied consistently and effectively across projects. Independently applies knowledge and experience in partnership with internal project team members and external client counterparts. Serves as an advisor on complex projects to provide technical solutions to achieve successful delivery.

What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field and 10 years of relevant experience, or Associate of Science in Drafting or Technical School or related and 12 years of relevant experience, or in lieu education, 14 years of relevant experience
What We Prefer:
  • Ability to develop and implement automation-related tools, such as Lisp routines or Dynamo scripts.
  • Experience with the Corps of Engineers, City of Kansas City, MO, and/or KDOT/MoDOT.
  • Ability to also work in Microstation
