Job summary

Renova One is seeking a Restoration Technician to perform renovation, restoration, and maintenance tasks with hands-on support and quality control.

You will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and teams to ensure timely, safe, and compliant work. The role offers growth into broader restoration duties and related shop/warehouse responsibilities over time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous restoration experience preferred; general construction, flooring, or carpet cleaning considered.
• Ability to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Willing to learn and grow into additional responsibilities.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Frequent heavy lifting up to 50–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assess property damage from water, fire, smoke, or other disasters.
• Remove debris, salvageable materials, and damaged contents.
• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces, walls, floors, and structural components.
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials including drywall, insulation, carpeting, flooring.
• Set up and operate drying equipment, dehumidifiers, and air movers to dry affected areas.
• Reconstruct and restore damaged structures (framing, drywall, painting).
• Document work with photos, measurements, and descriptions for claims and billing.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure personal safety and team safety.
• Coordinate with team, project managers, clients, subcontractors to meet objectives.
• Warehouse tasks as needed, including cutting flooring, receiving materials, measuring.
• Support carpet cleaning services.
• Assist across other service lines as needed.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Restoration Technician at Renova One will be responsible for performing a variety of technical tasks related to renovation, restoration, and maintenance projects. This role involves providing hands‑on technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards. The Technician will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure that all work is completed on time, safely, and in compliance with project specifications. This role is expected to grow beyond core restoration duties to operate self‑sufficiently across the full scope of restoration technician responsibilities, and to pick up additional shop and warehouse functions over time.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Assist in the assessment of property damage caused by water, fire, smoke, or other disasters
• Remove debris, salvageable materials, and damaged contents from affected areas
• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces, walls, floors, and other structural components using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
• Assist in the removal and disposal of damaged materials, including drywall, insulation, carpeting, and flooring
• Set up and operate drying equipment, dehumidifiers, and air movers to dry out affected areas and prevent mold growth
• Assist in the reconstruction and restoration of damaged structures, including framing, drywall installation, painting, and finishing
• Document work performed, including photos, measurements, and written descriptions, for insurance claims and billing purposes
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal safety and the safety of others on the job site
• Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, clients, and subcontractors to coordinate restoration activities and ensure project objectives are met
• Warehouse responsibilities as needed, including cutting flooring product, receiving materials, and measuring, with the goal of operating fully self‑sufficiently across all restoration technician duties
• Support carpet cleaning services needed
• Provide day-to-day and weekly operational support across other company service lines as business needs require, including assisting with flooring, turnkey, renovation, cleaning, and related field or warehouse activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in restoration preferred; general construction, flooring, or carpet cleaning experience also considered
• Ability to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Hardworking and self‑motivated, with a willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks and grow into new responsibilities over time
• Valid driver's license and clean driving records
• Frequent heavy lifting up to lift 50-75lbs

Schedule Variations:

Must be available for on call shifts. Schedule will be communicated clearly, and often. It is the Technician’s responsibility to contact a qualified replacement if you are unable to respond due to scheduled or unscheduled absences.
