Job Profile Title

Technician, Research Laboratory C

Job Description Summary

Perform routine laboratory experiments (e.g. optical redox imaging, Seahorse) on cell and mouse models. Assists the laboratory manager to perform complex laboratory maintenance tasks and other laboratory projects, as assigned. Will assist senior level researchers on various supervised research projects within the lab. The technician will carry out routine tasks such as preparation of media and reagents, place orders for supplies, help maintain inventory and place lab equipment in their designated areas at the end of the day.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze data through biological assays and imaging methods.
  • Perform animal studies, tissue harvests and preparations.
  • Conduct experiments and enter findings into computer.
  • Analyze the results of experiments.
  • Preparation and processing samples.
  • Maintain inventory of lab supplies, order supplies, oversee general laboratory maintenance and safety compliance.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Position is contingent upon continued funding.

Pay Range

$16.60 - $18.00 Hourly Rate. Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and the pay range assigned to the job profile.
