Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiologic procedures and help diagnose and treat patients. You will follow physician orders, select appropriate settings, and ensure safety and accuracy in all steps.

Collaboration with the healthcare team and adherence to hospital policies are essential. The role requires ARRT registration or eligibility and an accredited radiography program, plus an Associates degree in a related field.

Formación

• Completion of radiography program accredited by ARRT requirements and ARRT registration or waiting for registry.
• Associates degree in radiography or related field.
• Ability to receive and follow written and oral instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercise judgment in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develop and implement a procedure/treatment plan.
• Follow hospital protocols/guidelines to implement plan.
• Complete documentation to comply with hospital policies.
• Maintain equipment, rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
• Participate in performance improvement activities; collect quality data.
• Complete assigned goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience

• Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.

Education

• Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry.
• Associates degree in related field

Special Skills

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory. Utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Demonstrates ability to receive and follow written and oral instructions; ability to plan and organize work.

Licensure

• ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire. New graduate who will obtain required registry within 120 days of hire. State license as required.
