Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Technician, Quality Inspection in Carson, CA to work directly with customers to satisfy quality standards during the manufacture of aerospace and electronic components.

You will conduct tests, inspections, audits, and validations, validate operator certifications, review vendors, participate in root-cause analysis, and support design reviews. This position is 20–30 hours per week and eligible for full benefits, with hourly pay ranging from $26.00 to $32.00 depending on

Qualifications

  • Tests and inspections to ensure contract compliance.
  • Certification/calibration for operators and processes must be current.
  • Inspections of vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tests, inspections, audits, and validations to ensure process compliance with contracts, our client and KBR’s KAS group requirements and specifications.
  • Validate operator and special process certifications are current.
  • Conduct inspections, evaluations and surveillance of vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Use inspection tools and measuring/test equipment correctly.
  • Perform sampling inspections per approved plans.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis and follow-up audits.
  • Collect and analyze statistical data for trend monitoring.
  • Provide training to other inspection personnel.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure quality requirements.
  • Report activity and status to management.

Job Summary

Quality Inspector - Aerospace Source Inspection: Carson, CA

In this role, you will be required to work directly with customers to satisfy quality standards and strategy in the manufacture of aerospace and electronic components.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Conducts tests, inspections, audits, and validations to ensure process compliance with contracts, our client and KBR’s KAS group requirements and specifications for design, engineering, products, equipment, maintenance and services.
  • Validates that certification/calibration for operators and special processes is current.
  • Conducts inspections, evaluations and/or surveillance of vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Uses and cares for inspection tools, measuring and test equipment.
  • Conducts sampling inspections in accordance with approved plans and procedures.

  • Collects and uses statistical data for the monitoring and evaluation of trends.
