Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to support manufacturing through audits of standard work, in-process and finished goods. You will collect data, analyze trends, and work with supervisors and engineers to implement corrective actions and reduce scrap.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing, experience with ISO 9001 and internal audits, and ASQ credentials are a plus. A 2-year technical degree is required, with a BS degree highly desired.

Basic Job Functions:

• Provide Quality Assurance support to manufacturing departments by performing quality audits of standard work, work in process, finished products, incoming parts, etc. Collect and analyze data for trends, process capability and machine reliability. Work with manufacturing supervisors and engineers to implement corrective actions, employee training and scrap reduction.

Education/Experience:

• 5 years' or more experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2 years' experience working with an ISO Quality System; including Internal Audits, use of SPC techniques, and JMP Data Analytics.
• Experience including ASQ Certification (CMI, CPT, CQA) desired.
• 2-year Technical Degree.
• 4-year B.S. degree highly desired.

Required Skills/Competencies:

• Detail oriented.

• Proven problem-solving skills, including use of basic quality tools (Pareto analysis, SPC, gage R & R, etc.).

Essential Responsibilities:

Estimated Salary Range:

• $17.84 - $25.00
