Job summary

North Sky Communications, LLC is seeking a Quality Control Field Technician to perform on-site inspections and testing, ensuring installations meet engineering plans and safety codes. You will support field crews, document results, and drive quality from start to finish.

Candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience, and an Associate's degree or equivalent. The role offers a hands-on, safety-focused environment with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of relevant work experience.
• Quality control experience preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of the telecommunication construction industry standard practices.
• Knowledge of Customer Installation Standards and Documentation.

Responsibilities

• Field Inspections: Conduct routine and milestone inspections during installation to verify work aligns with engineering plans, specifications, and safety codes.
• Final Quality Checks: Perform thorough customer-requested final inspections to sign off on overall project quality and standard compliance.
• Issue Resolution: Spot defects, non-compliance, or safety hazards early; report findings clearly and collaborate with field teams to fix issues promptly.
• Testing & Documentation: Ensure all required field tests are executed correctly, maintain precise record-keeping, and track issues to full resolution.
• Field Leadership: Support project timelines, track key milestones, and maintain high standards across all weather conditions and job sites.
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Do

• Final Quality Checks: Perform thorough customer-requested final inspections to sign off on overall project quality and standard compliance.

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• One year of relevant work experience

Additional Qualifications

• Quality control experience preferred
• Associates Degree in an industry related field or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the telecommunication construction industry standard practices
• Knowledge of Customer Installation Standards and Documentation

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations, operate vehicle, squeeze, bend, stoop, stand, walking, climb stairs, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: work at heights, use ladder, lift greater than 55 pounds, use construction equipment such as shovels (flat head and round point), spades, pickaxes, mattocks, post-hole diggers, and tampers for soil compaction.

The wage range for Technician Quality Control Field is $27.00 - $32.00.
