North Sky Communications, LLC is seeking a Quality Control Field Technician to perform on-site inspections of telecommunications installations, ensuring alignment with engineering plans, specifications, and safety codes.

You will conduct tests, document results, report issues, and support field teams across weather conditions at multiple job sites. Requires 18+, US work authorization, valid driver's license, and 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid State driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• One year of relevant work experience.
• Quality control experience preferred.
• Associates Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of telecom construction industry practices and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform final quality checks and sign off on project quality.
• Identify defects or non-compliance and report findings to field teams.

You’ll perform on-site inspections, run critical tests, partner with cross-functional crews to solve technical issues, assisting the field team when needed and ensure every installation meets customer and industry specifications.

What You’ll Do

• Field Inspections: Conduct routine and milestone inspections during installation to verify work aligns with engineering plans, specifications, and safety codes. Assist the field team with additional tasks needed to complete the project.
• Final Quality Checks: Perform thorough customer-requested final inspections to sign off on overall project quality and standard compliance.
• Issue Resolution: Spot defects, non-compliance, or safety hazards early; report findings clearly and collaborate with field teams to fix issues promptly.
• Testing & Documentation: Ensure all required field tests are executed correctly, maintain precise record-keeping, and track issues to full resolution.
• Field Leadership: Support project timelines, track key milestones, and maintain high standards across all weather conditions and job sites.
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• One year of relevant work experience

Additional Qualifications

• Quality control experience preferred
• Associates Degree in an industry related field or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the telecommunication construction industry standard practices
• Knowledge of Customer Installation Standards and Documentation

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations, operate vehicle, squeeze, bend, stoop, stand, walking, climb stairs, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: work at heights, use ladder, lift greater than 55 pounds, use construction equipment such as shovels (flat head and round point), spades, pickaxes, mattocks, post-hole diggers, and tampers for soil compaction.

The wage range for Technician Quality Control Field is $27.00 - $32.00.
