PepsiCo, Inc. in Urbandale, IA is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to perform routine quality tests, verify product and package specifications, and record results to ensure compliance and safety.

You'll sample materials, sanitize equipment, communicate needed adjustments, and support production with a fast‑paced, hands‑on team. This full‑time role involves lifting 20–45 lb, standing, and shift work with training provided.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Lifting/carrying cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly over 10-12 hour periods
• Continuous standing and walking, manipulating product samples while sitting

Responsabilités

• Perform routine quality tests and use testing instruments to verify product and package specifications
• Pull product and packaging samples during production to confirm standards (quality, labeling, freshness dating, fill levels, container integrity)
• Record test results and maintain daily quality documentation, communicating needed adjustments to help eliminate irregularities
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas during and after shift, following process guidelines and good housekeeping practices
• Expedite quality concerns to management and partner with production and maintenance teams to support efficient, compliant operations

Quick Look

• Work Days: Monday - Friday. Swing shifts as needed
• Start Time: 10am
• End Time: 6pm

Sample and verify product quality to keep beloved brands like Pepsi, Gatorade, and Aquafina flowing to communities safely, consistently, and to specification.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine quality tests and use testing instruments to verify product and package specifications
• Pull product and packaging samples during production to confirm standards (e.g., quality, labeling, freshness dating, fill levels, and container integrity)
• Record test results and maintain daily quality documentation, communicating needed adjustments to help eliminate irregularities
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas during and after shift, following process guidelines and good housekeeping practices
• Expedite quality concerns to management and partner with production and maintenance teams to support efficient, compliant operations

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Position requires lifting/carrying cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly over 10-12 hour periods (with or without accommodation)
• Position requires continuous standing and walking, manipulating and handling product samples while sitting (with or without accommodation)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with audit compliance and food safety, testing instruments and standard operating procedures
• Experience with mechanical systems including but not limited to cooling/ammonia systems and water treatment systems
• Experience with product changeovers and equipment calibration
