Job summary

ProAmpac is hiring for a Quality role in Huntley, IL. You will work with the Production Supervisor to maintain high production quality, assist with color standards in the QA Lab, and manage material traceability and certificates of analysis.

The position involves testing materials, coordinating color accuracy, documenting reports, and supporting audits and environmental monitoring. ProAmpac has a comprehensive benefits package and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance processes.
• Familiarity with QA lab testing and color standards.
• Ability to document findings and communicate results.

Responsibilities

• Work with Production Supervisor to keep production quality up to standards.
• Assist in making sets of color standards in the QA Lab.
• Enter material requisition info in the stock traceability log.
• Support both the press and offline department.
• Test materials on lab equipment when required.
• Coordinate with ink room staff to ensure correct color for jobs.
• File press cards, proofs, color standards and press retains.
• Inspect incoming material and review raw material certificates.
• Write concise reports for QA Manager.
• Support environmental monitoring with QA Manager.
• Participate in internal and external audits and root cause analysis.

What You’ll Do

• Work with Production Supervisor to keep production quality up to standards.
• Assist in making sets of color standards in the QA Lab.
• Enter material requisition info in the stock traceability log.
• Support both the press and offline department.
• If necessary, test any materials required on the testing equipment in the lab.
• Work with the ink room techs to ensure the color is correct for new or existing jobs.
• File press cards, proofs, color standards and press retains as directed.
• Inspect incoming material.
• Review and approve raw material certificate of analysis
• Write concise reports on projects/issues to communicate to the QA Manager.
• Work with QA Manager to conduct environmental monitoring.
• Participate in internal and external audits as required.
• Participate in root cause analysis for customer complaints.
