Job summary

ProAmpac, a global leader in flexible packaging, seeks a full-time Quality Technician in New York. You will test materials and finished products across production stages to ensure compliance with regulations, specs, and company standards.

You’ll also document results, manage non-conforming materials, and support calibration of QA equipment. The role requires an associates degree preferred in mathematics and 2–5 years in manufacturing, plus strong MS Office, Visio, Teams, and QA process

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred with a concentration in mathematics.
• Two to five years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent.
• Experience using quality testing equipment and understanding QA processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Teams, and Outlook.
• Experience in flexible packaging and/or printing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform in-process inspection and test verification for Quality and related requirements.
• Ensure QA bench-top test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
• Document, sample, and quarantine non-conforming material and manage sample requirements.
• Operate quality testing equipment at the site and perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a full-time, Quality Technician who is responsible to meet the goals and objectives of the organization by testing materials and finished products across multiple stages of production to ensure they conform to all applicable regulations, customer specifications, internal specifications, laws and company standards.

Compensation for this role is $21.60 per hour.

What You’ll Do:

• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Responsible for in-process inspection and test verification for Quality, Food Packaging Safety and other requirements.
• Ensure all QA bench-top test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
• Responsible for documentation, sampling and quarantining of non-conforming material. Maintains other sample requirements as defined.
• Must be comfortable working with quality testing equipment at the site.
• All other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

Education & Experience:

• Associates degree preferred with a concentration in mathematics.
• Two (2) to five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technical Skills:

• Prior quality experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment, strongly preferred.
• Solid working knowledge of quality processes and related manufacturing.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams, and Outlook
• Experience in Flexible packaging and/or printing, converting equipment a plus.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

• Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude and well organized.
• Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
• Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
