Position Summary
This position is responsible for residential and commercial pumping and disposal of non-hazardous waste and involves direct contact with Wind River Environmental customers. Responsibilities include operating a company service truck and driving to various locations to pump septic tanks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow safety rules and exercise safe work practices in accordance with WRE and DOT requirements.
- Prepare for each service job to maximize efficiency (get truck ready, tools, etc.) by following daily pre-trip and post-trip maintenance (check fluids, tires, supplies).
- Perform customer service interactions on-site to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Observe and note defective septic component systems, adverse buildup, or hazards on the work order and provide maintenance or service recommendations to the customer.
- Complete and submit quote and service paperwork to management promptly, if required.
- Respond to trouble/emergency calls in a timely manner.
- Discuss and recommend appropriate maintenance service frequency with customers.
- Follow all Wind River Environmental service protocols. Other duties as assigned by management.
Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and non-hazardous fumes.
- Must be comfortable working independently.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents including company policies, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps, and road signs.
- Effective communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management.
- Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy including email and internet skills.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Class A or B CDL with ability and willingness to obtain a tanker endorsement if requested.
- No restrictions (must be able to drive manual transmission).
- At least 21 years old.
- At least one year of professional commercial driving experience (post-school).
- Ability to pass DOT drug screen, medical certification, physical exam, and road exams.
- Ability to operate in a drug-free workplace.
- Ability to meet physical demands.
- High School Diploma.
