Job summary

Smarte Carte is seeking a part-time Technician to maintain the wheelchair fleet at Pittsburgh International Airport. You will perform inspections, manage inventory of parts and equipment, and support daily operations to meet client needs.

The role requires basic hand-tool skills, strong communication, and a mechanical aptitude. You will work weekends as needed and may receive a monthly cellular phone allowance. Prior experience with wheelchairs is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates or technical degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding and working knowledge of common hand tools.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
  • Mechanical aptitude is required.
  • Knowledge of manual wheelchairs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Routine preventative maintenance & inspection equipment.
  • Maintenance & Inspection of Wheelchair Fleet.
  • Periodic Inventorying of Fleet.
  • Installation of new or replacement equipment as needed.
  • Managing Positive Customer Relations.
  • Timely reporting; timesheet & maintenance Log, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Technician – PART-TIME - Pittsburgh International Airport

$17.50 / hour

In addition, this position is eligible for $5 a month paid for monthly cellular phone allowance

Weekends are required as needed

BASIC FUNCTION

Maintain fleet of wheelchairs at designated location(s). Perform inspections, maintain inventory of parts, and equipment to meet customer/client needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Routine preventative maintenance & inspection equipment
  • Maintenance & Inspection of Wheelchair Fleet
  • Periodic Inventorying of Fleet
  • Installation of new or replacement equipment as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift up to 50 lbs
