Job summary

Smarte Carte Inc. is seeking a part-time Technician to maintain wheelchair fleets at PIT Pittsburgh International Airport. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and equipment installations while keeping accurate logs and inventory.

Strong hands-on skills, reliable communication, and the ability to work weekends as needed are essential for success. The role offers competitive pay at $17.50 per hour plus a $5 monthly cell phone allowance, with benefits including 401k matching, paid

Qualifications

• Associates or Technical degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of common hand tools required.

BASIC FUNCTION

Maintain fleet of wheelchairs at designated location(s). Perform inspections, maintain inventory of parts, and equipment to meet customer/client needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Routine preventative maintenance & inspection equipment
• Maintenance & Inspection of Wheelchair Fleet
• Periodic Inventorying of Fleet
• Installation of new or replacement equipment as needed.
• Managing Positive Customer Relations
• Timely reporting; timesheet & maintenance Log, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic understanding and working knowledge of common hand tools.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• Knowledge of manual wheelchairs preferred, but not required.
• Company hand tools will be provided.

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or Technical degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

• Ability to get Airport Badge is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Walk and stand for duration of shift
• Bend and stoop regularly
