Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Florida is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication distribution, inventories, and patient services. The role requires the ability to work with automated dispensing systems and respond to busy environments while maintaining accuracy and safety.

The technician will assist with non-sterile compounding, data entry, and training new staff, contributing to a team-focused pharmacy operation dedicated to quality patient care.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, effective communication, and teamwork.
• Ability to respond positively in stressful environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintains medication distribution systems and automated dispensing cabinets.
• Prepares, fills, receives, stocks and restocks medication inventory for the pharmacy department.
• Assists with customer service and patient needs, including answering telephones and managing work queues.
• Prepares non-sterile compounded medications, including hazardous preparations.
• Performs prescription data entry in the pharmacy system when applicable.
• Processes medication charges/credits when applicable.
• Responsible for orienting and training new pharmacy technicians or students.
• Completes other responsibilities as assigned in support of pharmacy operations.
