Howell Public Schools is seeking a Technician Mentor for Construction Trades to support the Building Trades Teacher and enhance the educational experience for students. This full-time position involves tutoring, classroom management, and assisting with instructional tasks in construction trades over a ten-month duration. Ideal candidates will have a background in education or construction, and a strong commitment to student development.
Position Title: Technician Mentor - Construction Trades
Reports To: Building Principal
Duration: Ten (10) Months; First scheduled student day through last scheduled student day
Hours: Monday - Friday; 6.5 hours/day (32.5 hours/week)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY :
The Technician Mentor - Construction Trades assists, supports, and works closely with the Building Trades Teacher to enhance the professional and efficient operation of the program so that the maximum positive impact on the education of students can be realized.

The work environment includes being both indoors with controlled climate conditions and outdoors with varying climate conditions dependent upon weather for purposes of accomplishing the essential functions of this job.
TERMS
Wages are in accordance with the Howell Public Schools and Howell Education Support Personnel Association (2016-2019) collective bargaining agreement for Technician Mentor positions. The work year will include 180 student days.
