Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care in Columbus, MS is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform and report results of clearly defined laboratory procedures, ensuring accurate test processing and timely reporting. You will work on assigned shifts and may be required to overtime and callback.

Candidates should have an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or completed the military medical laboratory training, with national certification to be obtained within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Preferred/Desired Experience

Minimum Required Education

Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited MLT program, or successful completion of at least a 50 week official US military medical laboratory procedures training course and currently hold or have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist

Minimum Required Special Skills

Basic computer literacy.

Minimum Required Licensure

National certification in concordance with current federal and/or state regulations. Full certification must be obtained within six months of hire date.
