Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a manufacturing technician to support Engineering/Production by resolving issues and preparing systems, equipment and materials for production stages. You will set up, test, calibrate machinery, and conduct quality assurance per engineering guidelines.

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide tactical and technical support to Engineering/Production/Manufacturing by resolving production issues, preparing systems, equipment, materials, and components for use at various stages during the production process.
  • Sets up, tests, and calibrates machinery, sets up and conducts tasks, and performs quality assurance according to engineering guidelines.
  • Processes raw materials for use in production and performs quality control checks to ensure that established standards are met.
  • Tests for functionality and adherence to established tolerances, and makes adjustments or repairs as needed.
  • Provides status, maintains records and documentation.
  • Relocation provided
  • Travel expected up to 5% of the time
  • Shifts available: C shift
  • Interviews will include a technical assessment
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2-3 manufacturing experience
  • Familiar with multiple types of part marking
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

  • Familiar with Laser part mark machines

Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical.
