Job summary

ProAmpac in Orlando, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform essential maintenance tasks, follow OSHA and GMP guidelines, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

The role includes break-fix and preventive maintenance, parts identification, and potential basic machining or welding. You will maintain CMMS records and support the department as needed, contributing to safety and efficiency across operations.

Qualifications

• Comfort with preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Ability to follow safety and regulatory guidelines (OSHA, GMP).
• Experience reading manuals and basic instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Follows company and OSHA safety policies, rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Performs entry to mid-level break-fix and preventative maintenance on devices and control instruments.
• Identifies needed parts, supplies, and repair items.
• Provides support and back up for department as needed by leadership.
• Is aware of Maintenance Industry Standards.
• Understands GMPs, continuous improvement and Quality Control.
• Assures compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Participates in CI activities - processes, results and cost savings.
• May set up and operate simple machining operations (lathe, drill press, grinder) and basic welding tasks.
• Updates records and reviews CMMS history.
• Performs basic troubleshooting of control systems circuitry.

• Follows all company and OSHA safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions

• Performs entry to mid-level break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but not limited to: adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments to sustain and improve operations; repairing or replacing defective parts; reconditioning or repairing machine tools.

• Identifies needed parts, supplies, and repair items.

• Provides support and back up for other members of department as needed by leadership.

• Is aware of Maintenance Industry Standards.

• Understanding of GMP's, continuous improvement and Quality Control

• Assures compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
