MacAllister Technical School (MTS) is a 21-month program based out of Indianapolis for individuals to become Equipment Technicians. This school provides extensive classroom and shop training opportunities, organized to provide a smooth, consistent flow of training and education.
With over 900 hours of instruction time, this is an intense educational experience involving online, classroom, and hands-on practical experiences. Classroom training will be at the Indianapolis and Washington branches, with hands-on/shop training at the hired location. Participants are full-time employees of MacAllister Machinery during the program. The curriculum covers equipment systems such as electrical, hydraulics, engines, powertrains, and fuel systems, along with classes in welding, failure analysis, and troubleshooting. The program also includes training in teamwork, communication, and business skills, with instruction from experienced faculty.
The purpose of MTS is to provide foundational training for newly hired Equipment Technicians, ensuring familiarity with MacAllister Machinery procedures, competency in technician tasks, and integration into the company culture.
Opportunities are available at the following branches: Indianapolis, Lafayette, Fort Wayne, Terre Haute, South Bend, Washington. Departments include Heavy Equipment, Bluebird Bus, and Diesel/Truck. Candidates must be available for 1st and 2nd shifts throughout the program.
