Job summary

Modern Aviation is seeking a Line Service Technician (LST) in Ronkonkoma, NY. The role focuses on safe aircraft ground handling, fueling, towing, parking, de-icing, and basic cleaning to support arriving and departing aircraft with urgency and professionalism.

The LST will operate ground support equipment, maintain ramp safety, and deliver excellent customer service to flight crews and passengers while collaborating with teammates and leadership on shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Open availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong mathematical aptitude.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of aircraft types and servicing practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft fueling, towing, parking, de-icing, placement and basic cleaning.
• Operate a wide range of ground support equipment per procedures and safety standards.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of ground services for arriving/departing aircraft.
• Maintain ramp awareness, monitor aircraft movement, prevent FOD, adapt to weather changes.
• Support safe operations by following policies and safety regulations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to passengers, guests, and flight crews.
• Communicate clearly with team members during aircraft movements.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by Shift Leads or Line Management.
