Starting Pay for this role is $17.00 (plus $1.00 per hour shift differential) with opportunities to advance in as soon as 6 months (based on your skill-level)! This is a full-time position with no direct customer interaction, guaranteed 40 hours per week, and premium pay for consistent weekends or company holidays worked. We offer :

CVS Health has an exciting opportunity in Wilkes-Barre, PA for a Materials Handler to be a part of our Mail Order Pharmacy team ! The Materials Handler is essential to ensuring patients receive their medications in a timely manner . As part of the team, you will have an important, uniquely rewarding role putting your Materials Handler skills and experience to work in a closed-door pharmacy setting. You will make a difference by exceling in a complex, high impact dispensing role and positively impacting the lives of others. You will work alongside a team of talented individuals in a concerted team effort and under the direct supervision of Lead Technicians and Pharmacy Supervisors. The ideal candidate will possess high levels of reliability, accuracy, professionalism, team orientation, and problem-solving skills.
You will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy warehouse by engaging in the receiving, storage, and replenishment of products throughout the warehouse facility. Your responsibilities will include moving new shipments of pharmaceutical product to be stacked in their appropriate storage spaces in the facility, pulling product to be shipped with the appropriate carriers and inspecting products for damages . In order to be successful, you will utilize scanners and other hand- held devices to maintain inventory accuracy and potentially operate manual lifts, reach trucks, and transfer equipment in order to move product throughout the facility. This role allows you to engage in an active environment while working to develop individual production skills. During your time at CVS as a Materials Handler you will be exposed to multiple job functions. This will give you the chance to apply for future promotional opportunities and advance in your career.

Sunday 2 pm to 12:30 am
Monday 3 pm to 1:30 am
Tuesday 3 pm to 1:30 am

Required Qualifications
Candidates must be able to:
Provide verification of high school diploma or GED or Equivalent work experience
Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance
Work mandatory overtime/extended work week, when needed
Physical Demands:
Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for moving from one work area to another or within the same work area
Ability to utilize equipment that elevates over 15 feet
Ability to occasionally lift/reach/twist/turn/bend/stoop/walk with up to 55 lbs to move objects
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer screen, reading, visual inspection involving small parts
The ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted
Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or arm
Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist
Stooping to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed accurately
Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of old orders, pharmaceutical drug names, NDC system and SAP.
Formal Pharmacy Technician training and/or experience
Experience in medical, fulfillment center, warehouse or healthcare environments
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team
Education
Verifiable High School diploma or GED or Equivalent work experience

The typical pay range for this role is:
$16.00 - $26.21This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
