Job summary

Tony Volkswagen is seeking a Technician (All levels) for our Service department. The role involves performing repair work per the Repair Order, road testing when required, and coordinating with the Service Advisor and parts department to complete repairs efficiently and correctly.

Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented with strong communication, organization, and time-management skills, plus the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Repair work as outlined in the Repair Order following dealership and factory standards; road test when required or refer to test technician.
• Communicate with Service Advisor on repair status and parts needs; inform if appearance/condition changes.
• Document all work and recommendations on the repair order.
• Maintain current in mandated factory and dealership training.
• Maintain both personal and company tools and equipment.

Job Title: Technician (All levels) Department: Service Reports to: Service Manager Effective Date: 3/30/23

Performs work as outlined in the Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Road test vehicles when required or refers to the test technician. Responsible for supporting the company’s Vision: “Best place to work & Best place for our guests to do business” and Mission: “Build long term relationships with our associates & guests & make a positive difference in our community”.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Repair Work- Performs work as outlined in the Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Road test vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
• Communication- Communicates with Service Advisor about the status of the repair, to include additional work if needed. Must also communicate with the parts department regarding parts for the repair. Advises Service Advisor if repair work results in a change in the vehicle appearance or condition.
• Documentation – Must document all work done and recommended on the repair order
• Training- Must be current in all mandated factory and dealership training.
• Tools and equipment – Must maintain both personal and company tools and equipment.

Education and Experience
