Position Summary

The technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing kitchen fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. This role involves working on-site with commercial and residential kitchens, requiring technical skills, customer service, and safety commitment.

Core Responsibilities

• Installation and Setup: Install fire suppression systems and extinguishers per manufacturer specs and safety codes.
• Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct inspections and perform routine maintenance on systems and extinguishers.
• Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix system issues on-site.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare reports, maintain records, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients, schedule services, and recommend system upgrades.
• Compliance and Safety: Follow NFPA codes, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Learning and Development: Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, professional attitude.
• Basic understanding of fire suppression systems is a plus.
• Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to perform physical labor and work in challenging environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or coursework in fire protection.
• Experience with kitchen fire suppression systems and NFPA codes.
• Familiarity with brands like ANSUL, Pyro Chem, and others.
• Multilingual communication skills.
