Our technicians ensure that fire protection systems in businesses and homes operate safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety standards.

Position Summary

The technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of kitchen fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers, working on-site in commercial and residential settings. The role requires technical skills, customer service, and a focus on safety.

Core Responsibilities

  • Installation and Setup: Install systems and extinguishers per specifications and codes.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct inspections and perform routine maintenance on various fire suppression systems.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues and perform repairs on-site.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of inspections and repairs.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients and provide system recommendations.
  • Compliance and Safety: Follow NFPA codes and safety protocols.
  • Learning and Development: Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards.
  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
    • Basic understanding of fire suppression systems is a plus.
    • Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
    • Ability to perform physical labor and work in challenging environments.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Certification or coursework in fire protection.
    • Experience with kitchen fire suppression systems.
    • Knowledge of NFPA codes and brands like ANSUL, Pyro Chem, etc.
